Will I receive grades or progress reports for my student?
Due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), grades are released only to the student. FERPA also restricts the release of financial information. The university does not issue progress reports prior to the release of semester grades, nor does it issue grade reports at the end of each term. It is each student’s responsibility to keep track of his/her own progress by following the grading criteria set forth in each course’s syllabus, which is usually issued during the first class meeting. Students can request to have a transcript sent out at the end of the semester after grades are posted, and can also check their grades in myCUinfo, the University’s student, faculty and staff portal.
