As a state-assisted institution, The University of Colorado at Boulder currently receives less than 5% of its budget from state appropriations. Consequently, CU must look to private donors to help fill this gap to maintain the quality of its programs.
The Parent Fund is one of many meaningful ways for parents to be involved in their student’s education. The Parent Fund, coordinated through the CU Foundation, enables the Division of Student Affairs to enhance important programs and initiatives that directly impact all students on campus from move in through graduation.
The deep interest and generous support of parents have made a significant difference in helping CU enhance the out of classroom experience of our students. These experiences include ensuring our students health and wellness; assisting them with their career preparation and helping them develop into global leaders. The Parent Fund also supports the CU Parents Association’s scholarships and grants programs. We ask that you consider the Parent Fund to be the choice recipient of your donations while your student attends CU Boulder and beyond.
“As CU faces decreased state funding and difficult economic times, the need for private giving is even more urgent. Giving to CU is a great way to support our students and our community,”
-Fred Gluck and Andrea Rhodes, Parents of Larissa, ’10 and regular donors to the CU Parent Fund
