Angela Farone

Angela Farone grew up in Boulder. She is an alumna of the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. in Sociology (‘90) and an M.A. in Religious Studies (‘99).
Angela’s career in higher education development spans 10 years. Her experience includes fundraising management, volunteer recruitment and management, formulating and implementing annual as well as capital campaigns, and working directly with donors at all levels of giving. Her background includes positions at a small, private liberal arts college (Naropa University in Boulder) and at a large public university (University of Colorado at Boulder/University of Colorado Foundation).
Angela joined the University of Colorado Foundation in January 2007 as Associate Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences. She was promoted to Senior Director of Development in March 2009.
Amy Westfeldt

Amy Westfeldt has been in Boulder most of her adult life after being raised in Palo Alto, California. She received her B.A. in Writing and Literature from Naropa University where she studied at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics.
Amy has worked in the development field for over seven years. Before switching fields, she worked in high tech and aerospace editing and writing. She has been with the University of Colorado Foundation since February 2008 as Associate Director of Development for Campus Programs.
Amy is a volunteer coeditor for the Arts Committee for the annual Conference on World Affairs. She also volunteers with the Boulder Mountain Fire District as a phone mobilization coordinator. Her son is a student at CU Boulder getting ready to graduate in May 2012. She enjoys skiing, hiking, watching baseball, whether it’s Little League or the Rockies, and feeding family and friends on the deck of her home – at least when it’s not snowing – in the foothills west of Boulder.
Amanda Stewart

Amanda Stewart was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Utah, Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.A. in Educational Foundations, Policy and Practice from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Amanda joined the Campus Programs and Parent Fund team in September 2010 after nearly 10 years in working in development for arts and cultural organizations in Denver and Salt Lake City. Amanda has previously served as Chair for the Denver Office for Strategic Partnerships Commission and as a regional volunteer for Delta Delta Delta sorority. Amanda and her husband live in Broomfield with their two young children, Kylie and Jameson. They enjoy traveling and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
Heather Amen

Heather Amen grew up in Centennial. She received her B.A. in Chemistry and Spanish with a minor in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
Heather began her development career at the San Antonio Zoo managing events. For the next year, Heather worked in various Colorado non-profits before managing school relationships for Junior Achievement. Heather brings experience in relationship management and sales, as well as working with a large range of non-profits. She joined the University of Colorado Foundation in September 2012 as Assistant Director of Development.
Heather volunteers as the Chair of New Generations for Rotary International District 5450 and is involved in Rotary’s various youth programs. In her spare time she enjoys reading, dancing, and baking.
Hayley Thompson

Hayley is a Colorado native who was born and raised in Loveland, CO. She is an Alumna of CU and holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs (’11).
Hayley’s experience in the field has come from her job as a Floating Program Center Manager for RuffaloCODY. She has worked alongside four different university’s development programs in order to enhance parent and alumni relations and boost fundraising efforts through on campus call centers. She has worked with many different Universities including The University of Colorado, The University of California, Los Angeles, Pepperdine University and San Diego State University.
She is a true Buff at heart and enjoys taking in all that Boulder has to offer including the great food, scenic hiking trails and friendly people.
Margaret Bankoff

Margaret Bankoff is a Georgia native who joined the Foundation in 2013. While attending the University of San Diego she earned a B.A. in Communication Studies with a Minor in Art History.
Margaret began her career working in events for the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta, before moving to Savannah to manage fine art sales for SCAD’s international exhibitions department. Before joining the Buff family, Margaret worked for the Georgia Institute of Technology as an External Affairs Specialist overseeing events and alumni outreach for the College of Computing.
Since moving to Colorado Margaret enjoys spending her spare time in the mountains and lives an active, healthy lifestyle.
Barbara Carlough

Barbara Carlough is from Ohio and has been in Colorado for the past 21 years. She started with the Foundation in spring 2012.
Prior to joining the Campus Programs/Parent Fund team, Barbara was an Executive Assistant to the CEO/CIO and CFO of Westpeak Global Advisors in Boulder. As such, she brings with her a broad range of experience including coordinating meetings and schedules, producing client reports, prospect presentations, and general marketing materials, as well as maintaining office databases. She has additional experience in maintaining the compliance program, office management and human resources administration. Prior to Westpeak, she was the assistant to the President and Creative Director of an advertising agency, which included managing the production of all projects from start to finish.
Barbara enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, traveling, and tap dancing. She and her husband are avid gardeners, while their dog soaks up the sun. When possible, she volunteers at a local animal rehabilitation center.
